Just been told this by ISSA..

Is this the case, does a 3 and 6 year old have to evidence 500,000 baht on application too?!
Answer summary
The requirement of showing 500,000 baht per person for visa applications, including children, tends to vary depending on the embassy. Generally, children are often treated differently, with some embassies being more lenient regarding the financial proof needed for minors. While some users report needing to show funds for each family member regardless of age, others have shared that only adult applicants require proof of financial stability. It is essential to check with the specific embassy or consulate being dealt with, as policies differ widely.

Yeah sorry about your luck on this but dependant DTV exist for a reason where cover letters and sponsor letters cure the 500,000 requirement along with your approved DTV

We were 2 adults and 2 kids and only had to show financial evidence for 2 adults. I think it will depend on the Embassy though.

Please remember that insurance companies often have a line in the small print about legal stay. Children might not get s fine but cannot go school and are most of the time not insured
Thai_visa_**********
Thai_visa_**********
Because some think that children should be illegal in Thailand, no visa and in overstay just because there is no fine is the hest solution.

But it has other consequences which are forgotten. Some only think about avoiding a small fee to have their children a legal stay. No insurance and not legit to go school can impact the rest of the child lives. As a parent you should take care your children, not your daydreams.

Today I was accepted !!! Thanks to Issa compass and it takes only 4 days in Italy embassy Rome , a plus was the fee for the government is in the amount u pay to agency for the service , u don’t need to pay extra fee for the visa it’s included and that take care of everything u need only to wait ur visa at home doing nothing only and probably it’s the best way to reduce rejection

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

We have 5 kids. Apply just for yourself. Kids can over stay without penalty. This is what majority do. Never had an issue.

Parsippany8139 I’ve heard this also

But chat gpt said otherwise… that the next time

We ever have to pass thru immigration they can penalize even us adults for not taking the rules seriously. What do we do 😩 I also have 5 kids (very young) and having to

Fly with them every 6 months isn’t easy…

Parsippany8139 It’s not really a good idea to have your kids rack up multiple 120 day overstays. Even though they aren’t charged for it. Also, once they hit the age of 14 or 15 then they will start to get charged so unless you only have small children it won’t work for the duration of the visa.

I suspect that they’re trying to provide the most optimal application and if you don’t follow it then they won’t refund your money if your denied.

Each Embassy is different and some are more forgiving than others.

While I don’t doubt that a number of agents will provide fraudulent documents I suspect that since Issa offers refunds to rejected applications this is their way out of paying for a refund.
Maya *****

It’s not true , if u are only 1 persone it’s 18k including the fee for the visa ! So they are not charging money for free u need to pay every application 350€ or 13 k to the Thai government for every person that want a visa so they charge only
***
k baht to do everything and to submit ur application so in my opinion its very great

Honestly it is embassy dependent. While technically you are suppose to have 500k per person, some embassies seem to be more relaxed on this. Which embassy are you using?

London 🙏🏻

HappyCelery1441 London does not require very young kids to have their own bank accounts. The agent is being OTT to ensure you are successful and don't claim a refund.

Each Embassy has its own policy and each consular officer can either accept the presented funds proof or deem it insufficient or unreliable 🫡

OP
The children don’t live off of the monies being held. And even if they were, 5 years is a long time to live off of 11k. So being cheap or not is irrelevant.

It’s a fair question as the UK embassy is contradicting ISS Compass by suggesting a sponsor letter is sufficient. If I don’t have to withdraw unnecessarily a further 22k from my business account it’ll save me paying income tax. Materially it’s a fair question.

So if you know the answer or have a personal experience that will help myself and others please share it.

correct ✅ Use the sponsorship letter from the DTV visa holder for the dependents. Check out the Embassy or Consulate website for their requirements... BUT it's common found seeing the use of the sponsorship letter.

I seriously don't believe what Siam Legal is saying... EACH PERSON...

HappyCelery1441 Medical expenses, dentist, emergencies, cover loss of earnings, additional needs etc etc etc. It's not necessarily for daily expenses. It's too make sure that no matter what situation you end up in, you'll have the immediate cash there.
