Hi all, anyone been able to open a bank account with a DTV in Bangkok? If so, can you share which bank branch?

TIA

Summary so far

Opening a bank account in Bangkok with a DTV Visa is currently very challenging. Recent changes in regulations as of February 17th have made it more difficult for foreign account holders, requiring additional documentation like tax residency and tax numbers. Experiences shared by community members indicate that attempts to open an account with this type of visa have mostly been unsuccessful.

It used to be quote difficult. It got a whole lot harder on Feb 17th with new Bank of Thailand directive and published in the Royal Gazette. Foreign account holders are being asked to provide country of Tax residency and their Tax Number too

I tried Agents and banks in Bangkok, I’ve also done in Khon Kaen…

this was 2 weeks ago and still ongoing… no success whatsoever so your chances are next to none opening an account now.

Everyone will tell you the same unfortunately.
