Is it possible to extend ED visa early and have the days carry over and added to the extension? Need to extend and then apply for a new passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can extend your ED visa early, and the days will carry over to the extension. If you apply for the extension in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, you can do so when you have 45 days or less remaining on your current visa. All extensions will be added to your current expiration date, ensuring that you do not lose any days by applying early.

in Bangkok and Chiang Mai you can apply for an extension of stay when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp (other offices are 30 days or less),
All extensions of stays are ADDED to your current expiration date so you never lose any days by going early
, different areas run differently :/ the most they can give for anyone at a private school is 90 days, BUT the way it's written says "extensions will be granted for NO LONGER than 90 days", this lets them (at least here in Bangkok) give only 60 day extensions instead of 90.

Omg, I am almost 100% sure in Samui they give 90 days, Tod.
