Question to UK teachers in the group (if there are any....), or international teachers if there aren't.

Have any of you had success gaining a DTV working as an online teacher of English using a TEFL qualification through a UK based teaching agency?

Asking because that's one of the options for my wife and I in a couple of years once I retire from primary school teaching here in the UK, as the security deposit is lower than the retirement visa, and the DTV gives me options to top up the pension with a bit of income.

Any advice/opinions greatfully received. 👍👍

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post seeks insights from UK and international teachers about their experiences in obtaining a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) while working as online English teachers with TEFL qualifications. The author is considering this option for future income after retirement from primary school teaching in the UK, noting that the DTV requires a lower security deposit compared to a retirement visa. Community responses indicate that online teachers have been successful in securing the DTV by proving they work with non-Thai students.

Online Teachers with and without TEFL have obtained DTVS. You need to show you work online for non Thai students, .

I am pretty certain people have got the DTV teaching online to students outside of Thailand. A guy I know teaches Vietnamese and Japanese. The Viets in the evening and Japanese businessmen 5am to 7am Thai time. Free all day after that till evening classes.
