TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of extending a visa in Bangkok for someone who entered Thailand through the Phuket Sandbox. There are concerns regarding the TM30 reporting requirement in Bangkok, especially since traveling from Phuket to Bangkok might necessitate an overnight hotel stay, which is typically where the TM30 would be filed. The response suggests that the need for a TM30 will depend on the entry stamp and the type of extension sought.

If TM30 is going to be a problem or not depends more on what entry stamp you are now and what type of extension you are seeking, I guess..

AS OF RIGHT NOW, I can't see a way for a person to go to Bangkok WITHOUT spending a night at a hotel room, because there are no flights from Phuket to Bangkok. When a person spends a night at a hotel, the hotel should file a TM30; ask for their print out.

okay then. So if the owner of the house they are staying at now registers them this will be okay then? No rental agreement cause it’s family basically.

If you're the registered house master, then you should file the TM30 for the people who are staying at the property.

Might not work. Depending on the extension of stay, they may want to see a contract.
