Hello I am currently holding a Non-B visa with WP, but I am looking to switch to a marriage visa non-O.

My question is, can I make the change without having to leave the  country.

I am okay if the WP expires or cannot be renewed. Thank you.

You terminate your non b and apply new extenson of staying in kingdom different reason. In country no new visa needed. Just go immigration and ask what documents needed.

Which means you stop working, so there is only 1 option.

Get the letter from your employer, visit your local Immigration Office, cancel your Extension of Stay, ending on the same date as last day of employment and apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay based on visiting Thai family.

And visit the Ministry of Labor to cancel your work permit.

IF

you are in Thailand during the first 90 days you got on entry or at conversion of your stay at local Immigration Office, than you visit your local immigration office and ask IF you can apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on visiting Thai family, if not than you need to go abroad to apply for a new visa.

First extension has to be for the same reason as the visa?

at any visa or even visa exempt people may first apply for the 60 day Extension of Stay based on visiting family and than for the 1 year.

BUT it all depends on the Immigration Officer, if he is lenient you can apply, if not than you have to go abroad for a new visa.

I am on a non-b visa which i renew each year with my work permit. I want to swap to marraige visa and stop working now.
