Hi everyone,

My employee is planning to apply for a non-IB visa, but there's an issue. The Thai embassy in Sydney made a typo in his name on his e-visa, and because of this, the BOI isn't allowing us to proceed with his non-IB visa application. The officer advised that he needs to return to Sydney to correct the e-visa and apply again. I wanted to ask if it's possible to make this correction while he's still in Thailand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
An employee facing a typo issue on their e-visa from the Thai embassy in Sydney must determine if corrections can be made without returning to Australia. Currently, the BOI is not allowing further visa applications due to this typo, and the embassy advised that the e-visa needs to be corrected directly in Sydney. One suggestion is to consult the Sydney Embassy to see if they can process the correction while he is still in Thailand.

You need to ask the Sydney Embassy if they can correct and re-issue the eVisa
