Can language studies in Chiang Mai qualify for a DTA visa?

I'm planning on relocating to Chiang Mai Thailand from the U.S.  Does language, Muy Thai, Thai cousines study qualify for DTA visa?  Can you suggest a Thai language school that can help me get either DTA or student visa?  I genuinely want to learn Thai.  Thanks everyone

I checked the TSL Thai website, on their home page, it specifically says DTV soft power visa approved.

Language courses are Education Visa territory. Pick yo an approved DTV activity and then pick a school to use in addition to the activity. Splitting your time between language school and say Cooking or Muay Thai works great for many folks!

If you are interested in learning Thai, then I recommend you get a student visa instead of DTV. DTV application process was so stressful (yup I failed my application lol)

If you're over 50, better get the retirement visa. The DTV is only for 5 years, the retirement one is for ever (need yearly renewals only).

It may be a better idea to explain in which area you are going to life so you are able to follow these lessons on the school.

It makes no sense to advice a school in Chang Mai if you life 1500 km souht of that city in Krabi.

I was with ED Genius Language School Phuket before. They are not the cheapest but their classes are ok. I was for a year.

Full time Thai Language courses are not covered by the DTV. There are hybrid courses, Thai culture/cooking plus some language lessons which are DTV approved. TSL Chiang Mai
