Hey! I have a question about the DTV visa on medical grounds. Does it have to be a necessary procedure, or can it be a package like a full health screening?
Has anyone got approved through things like allergy testing or a full health screening?
Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa for medical grounds typically requires ongoing treatment for a specific condition rather than general health screenings. Approval is more likely with a treatment plan from a recognized doctor, emphasizing that routine checks like annual health screenings might not suffice. Examples of acceptable medical grounds include ongoing diabetes treatment or rheumatoid arthritis management.
As examples I have seen recently are 1) ongoing diabetes testing and treatment every 3 months and Endocrinologist appointments 2) Rheumatoid Athritis ongoing treatment programme 3) Menopause ongoing treatment and care
I doubt they will grant you a 5-year visa for something quite basic that many people complete within a day or two. As suggested, a tourist exemption would likely be their recommendation.
Generally you need a treatment plan signed off by a recognised doctor at a hospital. Different embassies have different takes on how long the treatment plan has to be but I'd say you should have at least 6 months otherwise they may just suggest you use a tourist visa
I think it need to be something like ongoing treatment or a package for a specific condition. I doubt anyone will get a DTV for their Annual Bumrungrad Men's Checkup if that is what you are asking.
