Question about OA non immigrant extension of stay. If based on 800k in the bank, could it be in 2 different accounts, both in my name?

The total balance would meet the requirements for amount and time in the accounts. Usually people would maintain a single account for this purpose, so I don't know if this question has been asked before.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question asks if two different bank accounts in the applicant's name can be used to satisfy the 800,000 THB requirement for an OA non-immigrant visa extension. Comments confirm that using two accounts is permissible as long as the total amount is at least 800,000 THB combined, necessary documentation (such as bank letters and transaction histories) is provided, and all accounts meet the stipulated requirements. However, checking with the local immigration office is advisable due to varying policies.

Yes, why would it have changed?

Accounts have to be in your name no joint accounts

It can be in a joint account, but the amount must be doubled.

It may be wise to check with your immigration office, as each office has its own policy. As Tod says, it should be ok, but you don't want a rude shock come extension time. And make sure both accounts are able to have cash withdrawn immediately.

Yes I agree

nothing in the books says you can't use two accounts, as long as you have dual bank letters, dual yearly transaction history print outs, update both bank books the day you apply for the extension, meet the seasoning requirements on both accounts and the combined total is at least 800K you should be okay

although why push your luck?
