TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a Colombian expat who faced issues with their visa application due to not having the physical yellow fever vaccine card required by Thai authorities. Community members shared insights on whether getting vaccinated the next day would suffice for a visa application and the importance of having the vaccination certificate as recent regulations necessitate proof for travelers from certain countries.

i think Adriana got all the info she needs, also being told what options she has. You can close this topic, it was Visa related and can get closed nevertheless. She seems to be happy with all the replies she received and even fell in love with me sending me a "heart" icon. It (the love heart icon)got deleted bysome jealous male invictible person because it probably violated the "visa related only" rule

you do realize we close visa related topics when people have the correct info right?

We do that so people don't post incorrect info :O

it's not a chat room, it's a group where you ask your questions, get good solid answers and/or viable options and you go on your way ;)

As for some countries this yellow fever and certificate are a requirement to apply for a visa it is as visa related as how do I show my income, or what documents are needed for an extension of stay, or do I really need employer statement to apply for a METV and I can make this list go on. Give advice if you can, or scroll to the next question. And I will delete a few comments who are not on topic.

Not many people are aware that Thailand recently added needing a Yellow fever Healh certificate to its list of Health requirements if you've travelled through a country carrying Yellow fever. It's visa related enough in that case!

2016 from what i can find....maybe lol

perhaps it's only recent news to me then? πŸ˜‚

it's NOT a recent thing if you come from one of these countries It's on the thai wiki page for visa stuff
Gregor **********

well i guess i will loose them anyway, or maybe i can pay a fee and change dates....i will try to ask a doctor....thank you for your attention πŸ™

Ask a doctor in the Jakarta clinic on his opinion. You want to hear mine? Go to Bali, enjoy two weeks on a nice beach while your wait for your own documentation mailed to you from Colombia
Gregor **********
yes you will loose the ticket, but the waiting for the documents to be mailed from colombia, you would loose the ticket as well.
Gregor **********
I would not worry about that since 4 years already have passed. I would be worried if it was under 16 months

@Adriana **************
i don't know.

Your big problem would be getting the visa, managing to board to Banglok and then being denied entry for no certificate.

You would end up in isolation in hospital at a huge cost.
Ron *******
@Gregor *********
yes. Her problem is not having the certificate. I reckon another vaccination would be faster than the post.
Gregor **********
seems to be another good option. It does not affect her previous vaccination btw
Gregor **********
it seems you should ask a relative or friend go into your house at home in colombia, get the vaccine documentation, and mail everything to your hotel adress in Jakarta or wherever (go to Bali!) So last thing you don't have to fly back to colombia yourself and pay two flights. Even if your 12th flight to TH will become invalid, another Air Asia ticket doesn't cost the world
Tod *********
And what consulate are you applying for the visa at?
Ron *******
@Adriana **************
here is a copy

A good friend has just been stopped boarding a flight to BKK from Rio due to Thailand recently adding Brazil to the Yellow Fever Vaccination Countries.. Now his Retirement Visa will also expire whilst he serves 10 days in the USA before Delta will fly him home. His Yellow Fever will probably be a good deal worse when he does finally get back to his Thai Hareem..
Tod *********
@Adr****
that's between you and air asia BUT if you didn't pay more to get a ticket you can move I'd say you're out the money :(
Ron *******
@Adriana **************
i know somebody who was refused boarding last week in Brazil. They flew home to the US for the injections and need to wait 10 days.
Ron *******
Absolutely not! It is a 10 day incubation period. You wont be clear until 10 days after the injection. You wouldn't be allowed into Thailand.
Robert *******
Very hard to answer. IF you get your vaccine and the certificate before the closing time of the Thai Consulate and you can make your way to this consulate on time you can apply again for the visa you requested.
