Hello all,

Looking to transit through Bangkok with Thai airways from Cambodia to London.

I have been fully vaxxed here but yet to receive my physical vaccine card but hope to at least have a digital version soon.

Will this be acceptable; has anyone any experience?

I have messaged thai airways, no response yet.

Have also looked on the civil avaition of Thailand website etc but yet to find what I need.

Logic suggest it would be fine but that's not always the case.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether a digital proof of vaccination will be acceptable for transiting through Bangkok with Thai Airways, as they currently lack a physical vaccine card. Responses indicate that digital copies may suffice, but emphasize that any documentation should ideally be printed to meet Thai regulations. Additionally, there are discussions regarding the complexities and potential difficulties of transiting through Bangkok versus alternative airlines.

Also if you're flying to London, you don't need vax proof. You just get on the plane and go.

Well why don't you transit another airport? Ridiculous to transit Bangkok with these draconian requirements! Fly SQ or Korean Air.

it really doesn't look that difficult. Maybe read my initial post again.

You're making your life difficult for no reason. Forget Thailand and try another option.

You need a lawyer to figure out the transit rules for Bangkok. No wonder hardly anyone uses Bangkok as a transit airport right now.

The junta are running the economy into the ground with their draconian rules.

Mmm, strange
@Ne**
, but seems to be then. I guess you have one ticket. Long time ago that I had a transfer somewhere, but do you get a new boarding pass ? Forgotten...

As
@Bra****
, says
@Ne**
, with a real transit you not go through immigration, so then you stay in 'the neutral' zone.

to transit through Thailand you do, and I will be transiting through Thailand.
Paul *******
Why don't you fly with Singapore Airlines? Much easier. Transiting Bangkok is a nightmare with its myriad of rules.

Because it is 160% more expensive.

As dumb as it sounds, just print your screencap. Thailand LOVES paperwork and while your digital version is probably fine, having it on paper is better.

Good idea, thanks.

If you don't get your card just show the digital and say that's all you got

@Bonnie ******
so the cambodia vaccine card is enough to get through? I've bee told i should take a paper certificate, but the government website directed using my qr code doesn't show the vaccine info and doesn't have a certificate download option that I can see.

@Chris ******
I don't really know. We are staying put waiting for all this to go away

@Bonnie ******
yes, I'm kind of thinking the same. I dont want to lose money getting rejected.

Yes, that would be my attitude if I was getting a bus into town but alas it's an international flight so I would rather be sure.

Is your travel on a single ticket including your baggage that will be booked all the way through without you having to collect in Bangkok?

If you need to cross immigration to recheck your bags or checkin for your next flight, you meet all entry requirements for Thailand including a 1 night hotel booking that includes Covid test.

Single ticket, no baggage. The only potential issue is vaccine proof medium.
