TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold a retirement visa and are returning to Thailand, you may be asked to present proof of funds upon arrival, typically amounting to 20,000 baht. This requirement is part of standard immigration checks to ensure travelers can support themselves. It is advisable to carry this amount in cash to avoid any complications at Bangkok airport.
