Hi,

My spouse is applying for a work permit and I plan to arrive with her on a non-immigrant type O dependent.

Will I be able to travel in and out of Thailand during the validity period of my visa ?

Thank you for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can travel in and out of Thailand on a Non-Immigrant Type O Dependent Visa, but make sure to obtain a re-entry permit before leaving the country. This permit ensures that your visa remains valid for your return.

with a re-ntry permit as Ellie states

you can travel as long as you get re-entry permit BEFORE you fly out Thailand, and you need to come back Thailand within your stamp date. re-entry permit keeps your latest “permitted to stay” alive.

Thank you Ellie. I heard it is possible to apply for a multiple re-entry. Does it mean that if my dependent visa O is extended and valid for 1 year, the multiple re-entry will be effective for the same period?

yes, the re-entry permit expiry is same to your latest entry/extension stamp, regardless single entry or multiple-entries. So, buy multiple re-entry permit after you apply for and get your 1year extension.

Are they legally married? If so has their marriage certificate been notorized, or doesn't this app;ly for a trailing spouse with a work permit?

, if you are not legally married (Thai government recognizable), you cannot be on the visa/extension based on being trailing spouse.

For detail about this, your spouse has to talk to the employer about your visa.
