Hi! If I get an ED visa to study in Bangkok is it possible to travel to other places in Thai or I have to be all the time in BKK?

Answer summary

You can travel within Thailand on an ED visa; however, it is essential to maintain your attendance at the school in Bangkok. If your studies allow online attendance, you may have more flexibility. Additionally, passing a Thai language test may be necessary for visa extension.

Ask your school if you can study online. If they say yes, then you can. If they say no, then you can't. It's as simple as that.

Remember, if you're studying Thai, you will need to pass a Thai language test in front of an immigration officer to get the extension of stay.

Good luck!

Having an ED visa means you are studying, and logically, you must attend class.
