ORIGINAL POSTER
If I was in Thailand in October for 4 weeks is it to soon to go back again for 60/90 days in January. Or should I apply for a DTV soft course or a ME Visa if I want to stay longer.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of returning to Thailand in January for a 60/90 day stay after being there for 4 weeks in October. Comments clarify that a reset in the 2 entries per year requirement occurs on January 1, allowing for re-entry without issue. However, depending on long-term travel plans, exploring visa options like a DTV soft course or ME Visa may be beneficial.

I believe after the 60 day entry and 30 day extension you have to fly out of the country for a few days then come back on the

but then you have to leave until the following year. If I'm wrong please let me know

Anonymous participant 190 in theory, but dont bank on getting a second entry if you have a history or get on officer on a bad day. Go with a visa run company or 'fast track'.

They just posted the rules on this. On January 1, the 2 entry per year requirement reset. You’ll be fine to come back then.

No purpose of stay, no length of stay, just I visited Thailand.

You need a visa for your University bachelor degree study, if that is what you mean with course.
