Hello everyone :-)

Thank you for welcoming me in this group. Its my first trip to Asia yuupeee.

Myself and 13yrs old daughter will be landing in Bangkok on the 25th of July from UK. We have return tickets for 3rd of September. total of 41 days. Up to 30 days we don't need visa if I am right. We are planning to leave Thailand on the 29th to Singapore for few days and then come back to Thailand, not sure if that will be via Cambodia or stright into Phuket or Bangkok. If we will be out of Thailand for 5 days (tickets booked already for Singapore trip) can we return to Thailand and stay up to 30days from date of arrival untill we will be back to UK. Or do we need to apply for travel visa? Is it child on the same rules as adult? Thank you in advance. Sorry if that sounds silly, I just don't know what is the best option for us.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user and their 13-year-old daughter, traveling from the UK, are seeking clarification on visa regulations for their trip to Thailand. They plan to stay in Thailand for 30 days and then travel to Singapore before re-entering Thailand. According to the community comments, both the user and daughter are eligible for a 30-day visa exemption upon entering Thailand by air, which can be obtained for each entry. They can leave Thailand before the initial 30 days expires and will receive another 30 days upon re-entry, provided they stay less than 30 days outside the country.

You can hop in and out of Thailand using it as your hub for travel to the surrounding countries. I do this every visit there.

You will stamp in as visa exempt for 30 days.

Make sure you stay less than 30 days and then stamp out and go elsewhere.

At some point the immigration officer may ask when you are going home. Just show your return tickets to UK.

Have a great trip, relax and enjoy.

Asia is REALLY different from home so take your time to adjust. The people everywhere are charming and hospitable, especially if you are with a kid.

Read the actual regulations on Thai embassy web site. Not all information on this site are accurate. Thailand changes policies often.

It's more accurate here than the embassy websites usually, actually, as they don't update the websites to reflect changes in a timely manner - to put it mildly.

30 dayโ€™s automatic with a British passport for both you and your daughter for each time you enter Thailand by air.

Thailand immigration will welcome you with a smile ๐Ÿ™

U will get stamped in visa exempt for 30 days which u can then extend for another 30 days if u wish. But as u are leaving before the 30 days expires u wont need to. When return u will get another 30 days which u can then extend
