I plan on doing a border flight to Malaysia for my 180 days. Does anyone know how many nights I need to stay in Malaysia before returning back to Thailand? I’m on a five-year DTV Visa.. thank you all in advance 🙏😬

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no official requirement for how many nights you must stay in Malaysia before returning to Thailand on a five-year DTV Visa. Many users confirm that you can return the same day after leaving Thailand, as the primary requirement is to exit and re-enter. However, some travelers have reported experiences where immigration officers suggested a minimum duration away, but these instances appear to be at the officers' discretion rather than a formal rule.

The official requirement is just to leave and return, there is no stated amount of time that you are required to not be in Thailand.

Some people have reported being told they need to leave Thailand for at least two nights. These reports seem to be timed with the crack down on people doing border runs. But this is at the immigration officers discretion, there isn’t anything (I believe) that they can point to that states anywhere that you need to leave for a minimum duration.

If you use an agent and are paying fees for their service then it’s likely you will have no issue. As an individual coming in and out there is always a possibility of the immigration officer stating you can’t do it same day.

this is mostly required at the land borders. If by air, there is no requirement to stay a few nights

You don't even need to leave the airport, can just get the next flight back. The requirement is to leave and re-enter that is all.

I know they are being more strict with border runs but this is my first time leaving after 180 days

they're not being more strict with border runs. They're being more strict with people entering Thailand visa exempt, without a visa. You have a visa.
