Can I re-enter Thailand for another 90 days after exploring Southeast Asia for 5 months?

I'm planning on doing a tour going to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia. My plan was to use the short term tourist visas in all countries.

I want to do it twice over. So with Thailand being able to give me 90 days, after I have travelled to the other countries, I would be looking at returning about 5 months later to do the 90 days again.

Would that be ok or is it too short of a time away from the country? Also that being said, I wonder if it's also ok with the other countries? Cheers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is planning a multi-country tour in Southeast Asia, intending to spend 90 days in Thailand twice, with a trip to other countries in between. Comments suggest that re-entering Thailand after a 5-month gap for another 90 days should be fine, as long as the tourist maintains a typical tourist pattern and adheres to visa rules, such as checking the specific visa regulations for each country involved.

Lots of tourists base out of Thailand when visiting other countries. Your proposal follows a pattern of being a tourist so you won't have any problems. You aren't trying to stay in Thailand long term as a tourist. You are being a tourist based out of Thailand.

Need to check websites for each country, if British you can check UK goverment website. For example Vietnam Brits get 45 days on arrival Americans i believe have to apply for visa

Thailand you will only get 60 days 30 + 30 without actually applying for visa. (Although that depends upon your passport)

You likely wouldn't even have a problem if you did 90 days in Thailand, left and returned and did 90 more. With a few months in between you shouldn't have any issues.

It can be hard to get visa outside your permanent country, so second time better to plan only 60 days on visa exemption if it is available for you
