I have a visa extension from Bangkok immigration. Can i get a re entry permit from Hat Yai immigration or any other immigration (other than the immigration office where i got extension) office in Thailand in case i wish to travel to a neighbouring country by land from Thailand

For those who are not aware. Immigration in Hat Yai is open for 90 day reports. They are very organised and I was in and out in 5 minutes.

ORIGINAL POSTERWith the recent post about immigration at HKT denying a valid METV, could anyone say whether land or air would be the a safer bet when entering through Hat Yai? Is land always be considered more reliable than flying in? I would have a valid METV.
