Can I obtain a DTV visa for muay thai training with only one year of paid tuition?

I will apply for muay thai DTV

In the agency I contacted, they say all their students pay 1 year training and don't need to pay following years, they can come back to Thailand without extending the muay thai training

Has anyone experienced this with muay thai dtv? just paying one course for one year and having dtv visa for 5 years?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about obtaining a Muay Thai DTV visa, specifically asking if it's possible to pay for one year of training and subsequently hold a visa that allows re-entry for five years without further fees. Commenters provide insights on immigration requirements, cautioning that even if the school's policy states otherwise, it's advisable to remain enrolled in courses. They also mention the DTV visa's limitations, including the requirement for a 180-day stay and the challenges associated with securing visa extensions.

The DTV gives you 180 days of stay and that term can be extended once at local Immigration with another 180 days.

MOST DTV holder will tell you that Immigration does not like to give the Extension of Stay as the DTV holder can NOT meet the requirements.

So it means you have to travel every 180 days to another country, which could get expensive as you are not allowed to do any work.

IF you need to work on-line to pay the bills, just apply for the purpose Workcation and train in the gym when you have free time. This also makes the training cheaper as they do not have to provide official documents.

As far as I’ve seen even if that may be true, you generally don’t want to risk not being enrolled in a course. If by chance any immigration officer asks you for proof that you’re still enrolled, and you no longer are… you risk being denied entry. That being said, may want to continue enrollment after the 1 year training. Curious what others have to say that have been in this scenario
