Hi everyone, just a quick question.

I'm planning to apply for the Thai DTV from Australia this weekend, but I'm also planning to leave Australia in the next couple of weeks to travel around Asia.

To clarify, I have no intention of entering Thailand while my application is being processed. I'd be travelling to other countries, such as Laos or Cambodia, while waiting for a decision.

If necessary, I'd be happy to return to Australia before the application is finalised.

Does anyone know if this is permitted, or whether leaving Australia during processing could cause any issues?

Has anyone successfully done this, particularly through the Thai Embassy in Canberra?

You should physically stay in the jurosdiction of the embassy where you apply during the whole application process

It could result in your application being rejected and you losing the application fee. Safer to just delay your trip.
