Hi everyone

I plan to live in Hua Hin and enter on a 90 day retirement visa approved by the thai embassy in Canada

Will I have to do extensions, reporting etc in Bangkok or can I do the 12 month extension and 90 day reports in Hua Hin

Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can complete all your immigration reporting and extensions at the immigration office in Hua Hin. When you enter on a 90-day Non-O visa, you will need to file a TM30 form at the office in Hua Hin within 7 days of arriving at your residence. You can also obtain your yearly extension and handle your 90-day reporting there, eliminating the need to travel to Bangkok.

Just make sure when in Hua Hin report to immigration with in 7 days of where ever you will live. I would even if renting to be sure.

You're answering your own question.

IF you show up on a 90 day Non-O visa you'll get stamped in for 90 days, then where ever you stay you will file a TM30 <- notification of foreigner in residence at that immigration office (in your case Hua Hin)

You will get your yearly extension AND do 90 day reporting there
