Is this service available again now? It's been a few years since I last did a visa run, whose is it best to go with?

yes you can get one in Vientiane but they operate a booking system so it's not just an in and out situation. It takes 2 working days and is clearly explained on their website. I've no idea about vans.Reply to

Border runs and visa runs are 2 different things. Plenty of vans will take you to the border, you walk out and walk back in with a visa exempt entry. If you want to go to the Thai embassy and apply for the visa (in Vientiane anyway) you need to make an appointment online.

what I meant was before they did 2 day visa runs whereby you would stay overnight in the hotel. On arrival in Vientiane they took you directly to the embassy to submit your passport for either the TV or multi－entry etc and there was never the need to pre－book (although everyone was supposed to). Thd next day they would pick up the,passports and you would travel back to BkkGarrett ***********
