I have read that if your Acro certificate shows even a caution then a long term visa maybe refused. A better route is to use the 90 day entry visa and then apply for one year extension. Anyone have experience here?

The post discusses concerns regarding the potential refusal of a long-term visa application in Thailand if the Acro certificate indicates a caution. It suggests that a more viable option may be to enter Thailand on a 90-day entry visa and then apply for a one-year extension. No police report if you apply for the 90 day Non-O visa and then extend for 12 months at immigration inside Thailand
I came over in 2012 on a non-O retirement visa and didn't get a police report, it didn't stop me from getting the extension but then things might have changed since then.
