TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires if they can extend their 90-day visa exempt entry for another 30 days at the immigration office in Chiang Mai. Comments from other users provide insights into extension possibilities, noting that as a Korean national, they may only be eligible for a 15-day extension rather than the requested 30 days. Some users recommend checking the specific visa type and stamp to determine extension eligibility, with suggestions to potentially exit and re-enter the country for a new 90-day exemption.

Thank you for your time everyone! ๐Ÿ™โœจ It seems like last comment of Tod was my case.

Okay, IF you're Korean and you didn't BUY a visa from a thai consulate before you came here when you entered you were stamped in on a 90 day visa exempt entry.

I honestly don't think you can get ANY extension on that other than the 7 day extension denied stamp for 1900baht.

Let's see the "visa" and the stamps! It's gonna tell everyone what you have got.

I believe you will get a 15 day extension, if you entered on a 90 day visa exempt stamp, as a Korean national.

Probably would be better to exit and renter with a new 90 day visa exempt stamp though. Imo.

could very well be then, (y) I guess the only way they will know is to go to the immigration office and apply and find out ;)

I had a Brazilian friend who got a 15 day extension on a 90 day visa exempt stamp(If I remember correctly)... I assume Korean's will get the same. That's my belief... not fact.

What are you basing this belief on? That just says how long they're allowed into the country NOT how long of an extension IF any they can get.

@Ter***
, as Korean, you might get 90 days as admitted to stay on VISA EXEMPT, you don't need single entry visa (which you pay at Thai consulate in another country and get sticker on) for tourist purpose. Are you sure you are on your Single Entry Tourist Visa?

If so, are you sure 90 days for admitted to stay on your entry to Thailand, not "enter before date" on your VISA itself?

Are you sure you didn't come in on a tourist visa which is valid for 90 days <- meaning you have 90 days to ENTER thailand but you get stamped in for 60 days?

If you do have a single entry tourist visa you can get a 30 day extension at the immigration office for 1900baht.

IF however you actually do have a 90 day Non-Immigrant Type visa (which I doubt) you can't get a 30 day extension.
