Can I Extend My 6 Month METV Visa by an Additional 2 Months?

I couldn’t find a recent answer to my question: “Can we extend our 6 month METV an additional 2 months” -Until now. My bf and I just extended our 6 month METV an additional 2 months by going to Mae Sai border in Myanmar 2 days before the METV expired. �
-We have previous visas for Thailand all within the last 3 years but this year (2019) we only had 1 METV. The one we wanted to extend 2 additional months
-Zero land crossings this year, so this was our first one�-My boyfriend and I both have American passports��Quick and easy 👌🏽

As long as you enter before the Valid Until date mentioned on the visa you get 60 days of stay, even when you leave and enter the day before or on the valid until day. You can apply at local Immigration once for an additional 30 days Extension of Stay, by this you almost got 270 days out of this METV.

That will not count toward the 2 land border crossings anyway, since it was a visa entry.

Can I leave Thailand at Mae Sai and re-enter for another 30 days without a visa after using an METV?
