-We have previous visas for Thailand all within the last 3 years but this year (2019) we only had 1 METV. The one we wanted to extend 2 additional months
-Zero land crossings this year, so this was our first one-My boyfriend and I both have American passportsQuick and easy 👌🏽

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully extended their 6 month METV for an additional 2 months by crossing into Myanmar and returning just before the visa expiration. They had previously held different visas for Thailand within the last 3 years and reported a smooth process at the border.
As long as you enter before the Valid Until date mentioned on the visa you get 60 days of stay, even when you leave and enter the day before or on the valid until day. You can apply at local Immigration once for an additional 30 days Extension of Stay, by this you almost got 270 days out of this METV.
