Hi, does anyone know if you can still get into Laos with an existing e-visa? (Got it before they stopped issuing them and it's valid until the end of May)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the validity of an existing e-visa for entry into Laos, specifically if it can still be used despite recent changes. One comment suggests that if you're near the border, you could try entering, while also noting that visa-exempt travelers have the option to return to Thailand if they haven't exhausted their border bounces.

I have no idea :( If you live by the border, go for it. If you're from a visa exempt country, you can always return to Thailand if you haven't used your two border bounces this calendar year.

In bkk at the moment, so not near the border. And yes, visa exempt with Canadian and American passports. Does it count as a border bounce if you don't get into the next country? I mean if Laos turns us away, can we still get another 30 days upon returning to Thailand?
