Hi Everybody. I previously held a Non-Immagrant O Visa before moving back to the US. I am planning on moving back to Thailand in January. Is it possible to convert a tourist visa to Non-Immigrnt O visa just by meeting the financial requirements.
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to convert a tourist visa to a Non-Immigrant O visa in Thailand by meeting the financial requirements, which typically include having 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account in your name.
Whether you need proof of onward travel comin' in to thailand "free stamp" entry or not is an air carrier requirement most of the time, so check with the carrier. If they say no issues then you'll be fine once you get here and go to stamp in
