Belgian citizen on my second extension of stay (valid till 01 November 2022) from my original non O A visa. I want to change it to an extension of stay based on married with a Thai.

I will travel to Belgium and return on October 15th. Do i still have enough time to get the extension of stay based on married with a Thai before my current extension expires?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Belgian citizen currently on a second extension of stay based on a Non-OA visa asks if they can change to an extension based on marriage to a Thai citizen before their current extension expires on November 1, 2022. Commenters advise that as long as the individual returns with a valid re-entry permit on October 15 and quickly organizes the required documentation for the new application, they should be able to apply for the new extension in time.

Thanks for the info.

So, you applied for your 1-year extension at the local immigration office, right?

Just making sure because many Non-OA visa holders mistake the second-year entry stamp with an actual extension. IF in that case, there would be a bit of a different story.

Yes, I applied the extension last year at immigration office

as long as you have a valid re-entry permit (so you get stamped back in ON this current extension when you return) and as long as you can get the documentation, etc together in the time you have from when you come back to when your current extension expires you'll be fine.

You're comin' back the 15 of Oct and your extension expires Nov 1 so once you get back you need to not screw around getting the documentation together and going to apply. It can totally work, IF you get your ducks in a row quickly upon your return here
