Afternoon

Have some followup questions to an earlier post, relative to cancelling work permit and in turn my non imm visa . I will be finishing at the school at end of this month. I was advised by this group I go early to labor office and immigration to file the necessary paperwork. Say go on Jan 17 th to cancel on Jan 28 my present wp and visa finishes on March 31

The school went to the labour office , to ask a general question about cancelling the wp early. They were advised can not as have to be done the same day. As such , do you have any support material to show the school can cancel early. Also the school stated not have to worry about cancel visa as automatic when leave the country. My visa is a multi entry. I know that is not the case but require some reference to support.

Thanks for your assistance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on cancelling their work permit and non-immigrant visa in Thailand, as their school indicated that cancellation must be done on the same day. They also need proof to show that the cancellation can be handled differently, and they dispute the school's claim regarding automatic visa cancellation upon leaving the country.

My last advice, visit the Ministry of Labor for cancellation of your work permit and visit the Immigration office to cancel your Extension of Stay. If you let others go in your name, fine for me, but than listen to their stories, the choice is yours.

not sure why i get the blame, maybe you should try to find the person who is giving you the mixed message and ask him what his point is in doing that.

With respect, I did from answer one tell YOU that YOU have to go. What ever others think, do or what ever has nothing to do with it. You signed you know all the rules and regulations but feel free to ask them again at the Ministry of Labor (Sorry, no example available) and Immigration Office

I never said i was not going. I am stating, in previous post the school asked a general question about cancelling early but were advised can not be done early. I would be going but do not want to waste mytime if can not be done early

My questions relate to the school was advised different then what i was advised by Thai visa advice
Robert *******
YOU have to go,but YOU send others and try to tell me that they have different stories. It is YOUR work permit, a school CAN not cancel YOUR work permit, a school can NOT cancel YOUR Extension of Stay. Stand up and go to this ministries and Immigration as YOU signed you would do when YOU collected the Work Permit and the Extension of Stay.

@Robert ******
With respect , you are not answering my question

I was advised on an early post I could go to both the labour office and immigration early to cancel both at a later date , when i leave the school

The school was told by labour office that can not cancel early

So i was asking where i can find information to support what was advised by an earlier post to Thai visa advice

How about stating WHERE you are in thailand that you're trying to pull this off.

Right, you were told it could be done, BUT I can only say YOU need to hoof on over to the Ministry of Labor there and see if you can do it, Just so we're clear it is YOUR work permit. Check with them IN PERSON yourself (not thru your school).

That's the only way you'll really know.

if you have a 1 year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant B visa and making visa runs every 90 days, don't worry as this can not be cancelled
Robert *******
What do you like to hear, what is the question? Yes, you can visit the Ministry of Labor and cancel YOUR Work Permit, If you want to follow their advice, go ask them and let them deal with it. Good luck
Robert *******
Yes and did you go?

You just came back into the country?
Robert *******
So you do not have a Visa but an Extension of Stay and this has to be cancelled before you leave the country.
