ORIGINAL POSTER
Hello, I'm currently living in the US, looking to obtain a long term visa. I was interested in the long term O-X visa. I don't have any problems with the requirements, except that I have a misdemeanors from 2003 and 2017. No felonies. It says on the Thai website that I have to have a clean criminal record. Am I screwed? Any suggestions? I also could do a marriage visa down the road. Thanks for any input.

Do the Non-O if you are over 50, and get and agent to do it if you can afford 40k B

If you can afford the O-X why not a LTR or the Elite visa? Last I heard The O-X was almost never actually granted except for like 2 countries.

As suggested above,go for the 90 days Non-O based on retirement, then extend it another year at the local immigration office as long as you meet financial requirements. You can always get married later and change the reason for next 1 year extension if you want. More paperwork, though.

Have you consider the nonO retirement visa? With less requirements....you just need to extent it every year.....I'm married to a thai but I'm still using the nonO retirement route less hassle

I like the dtv visa option personally...

I believe they only go back 7 years. Get fingerprinted and send in with form and $18.00 to FBI. Also do on line much faster response
