Can I apply for the COVID extension now that I've received a 1-month extension in Thailand?

Hey All ๐Ÿ™‚

I arrived in Thailand on the 18th November and got the 1 month extension on the 17th December.

I asked for the covid extension but they strangely gave me the 1 month extension (I paid 1900 baht) and even more strangely extended it until January 31st (just over a month, around 6 weeks).

Am I still able to get the Covid Extension, and can I still get it now, or do I have to wait until the end of my current extension?

My local Immigration is Chon Buri.

Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about their eligibility for a COVID extension after recently obtaining a one-month extension on their visa in Thailand. They received the extension on December 17, which lasts until January 31, and are uncertain if they can still apply for the COVID extension or if they should wait until their current extension expires. One commenter advises that it is possible to apply for the COVID extension before January 25, emphasizing that the user should be prepared to explain their reasons for still being in Thailand, given the stricter regulations on such extensions.

As there is a special Free no overstay fine rule thru December 31...your 30 day extension started then.

As for a COVID extension...apply before January 25th

And ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

As Thai Immigration has been directed to be more strict in granting them.
