Hello! I'm going to Vientiane tomorrow, but forgot to book an appontment... And the closest dates available only in about 2 weeks from now. Is it a problem?๐Ÿฅฒ Or are there some "helpers" that can let me in without the booking? Thanks for any info! My flight is tomorrow early morning ๐Ÿ˜“

TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot apply for a Thai visa at the Thai Consulate in Vientiane without a prior appointment. It is essential to have an appointment scheduled, as there are no exceptions for entry or application assistance. If you haven't booked an appointment, it is recommended to check the appointment calendar frequently for any cancellations, but be prepared for the possibility of needing to reschedule your flight.

I come to confirm that you won't be able to apply without an appointment.

The best you can hope is check the appt calendar a few times a day and hope a slot opens. Enjoy your extended holiday in Vientiane.

Suggest you cancel your flight โœˆ๏ธ. You MUST have an appointment at the Thai Consulate in Vientiane Laos.

There are NO helpers and without an appointment you will not be able to make an application for a Thai Visa.

I believe that the OP has helpful information and his options. We wish him success.

What are my options if my current non-o visa expires on 7th, and the closest available date for visa appointment is on 13th. Is it possible to extend this kind of visa in the local immigration? Or just expire it and pay fine later? Sitting in Laos for almost 2 weeks scares me ๐Ÿ˜…

do a simple border bounce by air or land.

do not ๐Ÿšซ go on overstay. Thai Immigration officers are cracking down on anyone on overstay.

There is realy no way to apply without online appoitment? There should be something๐Ÿ™ƒ

James Miller is right. No online appointment, no entry. Only those with online appointment for the day are allowed to enter the embassy. They have a list of names in their book. If the name is not there, they dont let the person in. We were just there few weeks ago. Also, the guard checks if the person with appointment has the complete requirments, if not complete, he sends him out to complete it first.

nothing I'm aware of. Either book an appointment and sit it out until then or change your flight

i dont know what your visa is, it depends. You can either wait in Laos or in Thailand: If you can extend your visa at the immigration, good. If not you can exit thailand first and enter Laos on visa exempt (that depends on your passport) And then enter thailand on visa exempt also (again, it depends on your passport) that will give you 60 days. Or just stay in Laos while waiting for your online appointment.

yeah, thank you. That seems to be the most logical option. Double troubles for not checking the requirements on time๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

if you are eligible for a VISA EXEMPT ENTRY into Thailand, then do that. You will get 60 days STAMP on arrival into Thailand Plus One 30 day extension of stay at Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

What is your passport nation?

Do you have a recent history of staying in Thailand using Visa Exempt Entries, extensions and other Thai Visas?

I hold Ukrainian passport. I worked here on non-b for a several years, and the last year was non-o. Yes, I can get 60 days stamp on arrival. So that seems to be the best option so far..

Then go and ignore the people that have years of experience and can unequivocally tell you that there is zero chance you're getting into an embassy/consulate without an appointment.
