Can I apply for a Thai soft-power DTV visa with a sponsorship letter instead of meeting the financial requirements?

Hey everyone.
I am looking to apply for soft-power DTV visa.

I currently don't have immediate access for 500k baht nor the 3 month bank statements showing the funds

If I get a sponsorship letter from a relative would it still be possible to apply for the DTV? What would be my possible options?

A sponsorship letter may work, but they will still want to see bank statements. You have to be able to support yourself

One successful approval I can remember is a parent sponsoring a child (Not as a dependent but for the funds) in Australia. Like most things DTV it will be Embassy dependent.
