TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about the possibility of applying for a Non-B visa using a temporary passport after the original passport was robbed. Responses from the community suggest verifying with the embassy regarding the validity of the temporary passport for visa applications and seeking advice from Thai consulates regarding the acceptance of such documents.

As most embassy stated a original passport with at least 6 months validity I guess it becomes now a question to ask Thai Consulates. You and your Embassy can tell it is a 1 year valid Emergency passport but what will the other party think of it. Maybe you could tell us which country this Emergency passport is from, as it will be a very small chance but maybe we have a member who had the same experience from the same country.
in securing a passport which will be accepted for your new visa application. You have received several good suggestions.

Thanks Manuela, I'm gonna contact with the Thai consulate in Savannakhet to see if it is possible to make something like this in my case (non B)...will see. Hope you're doing great. Cheers!
You have to ask this at your Embassy. Some do hand out Emergency passport that are valid to travel back home, some are valid to travel to different countries and the Emergency passport could also be valid for short time.
for my embassy is a valid passport for one year, but inmigration perhaps has a different view of this kind of document. Thanks anyway for clarify this point.
