Can I apply for a DTV in October while I am in Japan and what bank statements will be required?
Hi, I need advice. I am a 24 year old US citizen and plan to live in Thailand this November on a DTV (remote worker). However, I'll be in Japan on a tourist visa from late August-November.
I plan to go straight to Thailand after my Japan trip.
Am I able to apply for a DTV in early October while I am in Japan as a US citizen since its online? And will they ask for additional banks statements other than the last 3 months (i got a raise so i will only qualify July, August, November bank statements).

You won't be on a tourist visa in Japan btw. US passport holders have visa free entry for 90 days in that amazing country...

I second Jaylen Miller...you should apply right now in US. It would be way easier. And it activates when you enter Thailand. Japan will NOT give you DTV but most likely multiple entry visa. That would be $350ish fee wasted. And if anyone tells you they can help, just use common sense and don't do it. You are my kid's age...I'd hate for you to waste your money. Do your due diligence and just apply without any agents while in US. It's so freaking much easier! Also...every embassy is different for the length of months on bank statements. Some 2 weeks some 1 month some 3 and even 6 months.
