Hi there,

Looking for some advice,

Both my wife and I looking to relocate to Thailand from the UK, I'll be using a O visa can I add my wife as a spouse?

As she's 46 I'm thinking there might be an age restriction but not sure,

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice about relocating to Thailand from the UK and inquires if they can add their wife to their O visa, noting a concern about her age (46 years old). Comments clarify that the retirement visa typically requires the applicant to be 50 or older, but the user can apply for his wife to be added to his visa once he obtains the O visa. Additionally, it's advised to have their marriage certificate certified in the UK before moving and legalized for use in Thailand.

Get your marriage certificate certified before you come, Milton Keynes I think. You'll then have to have it legalized for use in Thailand, either by the embassy in UK or in bangkok. To do trailing spouse you'll both need O visa & will then apply for extension as retirement & trailing

get it certified in UK as it would have to be sent to Milton Keynes anyway. You can then get an agent to do the rest here if you don't want to mess about with the Thai embassy in the UK.

If you google legalizing a UK marriage certificate for use in Thailand I think you'll find some posts

On the marriage license would it be quicker or easier doing in the UK or using my agent in Pattaya? I'm intending being in Thailand end of March

Once you are on the type O/Retirement visa inside Thailand then you can apply for her to be a rider on your visa but you must attain the type O for your wife from her home country.

actually they have stopped allowing that I know because we had to go back to her home country to apply we tried Malaysia and Loas country.

actually his wife can be added as trailing spouse in any country outside Thailand. It doesn't have to be her home country. As long as all the paperwork is in order it is pretty easy.
