Hello, from Malaysia, do you Know if it’s possible to get a 6 months visa (being french and Belgian) ?

Some say you need to ask for it from your hometown, but some others say you can get it through an agency in some countries in Asia ?

Thanks a lot !

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of obtaining a 6-month visa for French and Belgian citizens while in Malaysia, noting conflicting information about whether it needs to be requested from their home country or can be acquired via an agency in Asia. Comments indicate that the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur can issue Multi Entry Tourist Visas for non-residents, and provide links to application guidelines and requirements for documentation.

Does anyone know what kind of tickets/ documents to provide for the 6 months multiple entrance visa? "8. A copy of tickets/ documents showing the need for multiple entries into Thailand" And question 7. certified bank statement. So a print from online banking will not be sufficient? Has anyone experience in obtaining this visa?

They put up signs that they will take legal action for people who will falsify papers..

Yes, I did. That should be no problem, will know tomorrow.

@Ray****
, you still applied for the single entry tourist visa then right?

Thanx so much for the update (y) .

It was worth a try to go for it.

Update from KL. Did not get multiple entry visa because of bank statement. Bank statement has to be in English, or Thai and has to show every month a balance of minimum 30.000 ringgit. My certified Thai bank wasn't enough because there was not enough money on there 6 months ago. Dutch bank had more then enough, but not certified, and didn't show how much was on there every month exactly. Only the total amount in last six months. So for me impossible to get the right documents, although money is no issue. Very strange system.

do you need actual tickets to show them that you leave the country? or can just write something down on the paper they provide (that is how it worked in my own country).

You should be able to download your bank account history. I haven't read any reports where it wasn't accepted.

That means you're going to show MULTIPLE tickets out and back into thailand spaced out at about 60 day increments.

I send the embassy in KL an email to ask if possible, hey replied me with this link:
