Can DTV holders open bank accounts with Krungsri bank in Korat?
Are there any DTV holders here who have had success making bank accounts with Krungsri (yellow) bank, particularly in the Korat area?

You cannot open a Thai bank account with a DTV. Even agents cannot assist.

Not in Korat but in Chiang Mai I saw a sign at Krungsri on the door saying "No DTV". It was in a "Tourist Central" mall close to many Workspaces and must be sick of getting asked. They told me they only open accounts for long term visa holders issued "By Immigration". Do not know if official but she said HQ policy.
