Can a travel agent assist me in obtaining a 30-day non-visa extension due to my hearing loss?
I have a bad hearing loss. Could a travel agent represent me to get my non visa 30 day extension? I'm 77yrs
Answer summary
A travel agent cannot represent you for obtaining a non-visa 30-day extension; however, a visa agent can assist. It's also recommended to take a friend or Thai acquaintance for support during the process, as they can help communicate your needs, especially if you have hearing difficulties.

I also have bad hearing loss so I take a Thai friend to immigration and give her a little money for her time since she blocks off a half-day
Or just use google translate.

This is good advice, even if you don't have hearing loss. I have taken Thai friends, who also speak English, with me the past two years to renew my retirement visa. If there is a sticking point, and there almost always is, a Thai speaker with you is indispensable.Lennart **********
Take a friend with you to help you, don’t have to be a agent
