I’m a 42 year old Dutch woman currently traveling in Asia as a tourist. I am trying to find out if I can apply for a 60 day TV (SE or ME) in Japan, but the information I find is quite contradicting. Anyone here who has experience with this? A friend told me the famous Tod Daniels is an expert on visas, so maybe he’s reading along 😎
Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster, a 42-year-old Dutch woman, inquired about applying for a 60-day Thai tourist visa (SETV or METV) while in Japan. Responses indicated that only Japanese citizens can apply for the SETV from Japan, while the METV typically requires applicants to be in the Netherlands or specific Australian cities. The poster suggested they would follow up with information from the embassy.
Thanks everyone, looks like there’s no way for me. I did send an email to the embassy to check, you never know 😇 If the outcome is different than what is stated here I will let you know.
Only Japanese can apply for a thai SETV in Japan, but I would be very happy to be wrong on this one. METV obv u cannot, u need to be in Netherlands or some cities in Australia for this one (Perth, Melbourne).
