6 month METV you can get 9 months out of it, all you have to do is meet all the requirements...

you can get a METV only at the Thai Embassy in The Hague, not at the consulate in Amsterdam.

You need to meet all requirements including show bank statement and a letter of approval from your work for your leave.

Or an unemployment statement from UWV.

Or KvK statement.

And a travelplan which says what other countries you be visiting in these 6 months since its a multiple entry they expext you to travel in and out.

Yiu can stay 60 days max on this visa and these 60 get renewed anytime you travel into Thailand before your end date of the visa.

Good luck.

METV is Multiple Entry Tourist Visa, btw...

Not sure though, It doesn't seem Amsterdam consulate isseus METV. Maybe you need to go to Hague for METV.

Are you married to Thai? Are you going to stay for up to 4 months?

If yes to both, one of the options maybe get single entry tourist visa (gives you 60days) then before run out apply for extension visiting Thai family (gives you another 60days)

You can get SETV at Consulate in Amsterdam (from HP) before you fly. You can apply for extension at local immigration office in Thailand. You don't need to leave Thailand in these 120days, but need to make a visit to immigration office once.

Are you now married to a Thai?
