TLDR : Answer Summary
A British citizen can indeed extend a 30-day visa exemption for an additional 30 days at the immigration office in Jomtien. The extension fee is 1,900 baht.

As a UK passport holder I think you mean visa exempt entry, (rather than VoA). This can be extended for 30 days at immigration for 1,900 baht.
