With the new E-Visa can we assume that visa exempt will also be exempt from the E-Visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses whether individuals who are visa-exempt are also exempt from the E-Visa system in Thailand. Comments clarify that the term 'visa exempt' implies that these individuals do not require a visa, including the E-Visa, which is an electronic format for applying for a visa. One commenter highlights that the 'E' in E-Visa stands for electronic, not exemption, reinforcing the idea that visa exemptions still apply.

The E is for ELECTRONIC, not for EXEMPTION

The title is "visa exempt" - now does that sound like it's exempt? This is something you can work through yourself! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

There is no "new" evisa. The system has been in place for years. Nothing has changed except a few more countries are now on the system.
