I just re-enter Suvarnabhumi with my DTV and the agent is asking what I am doing here after taking pics of my few visa exempt stamps I got before in my passport.

Then pressed the yellow button for supervisor and she started questioning why I am here. I said medical, she asked to see my new appointment and asked why I don't do this in my country. She said because I had visa exempts before but now I have DTV, it's ok. Then I don't understand why they need to bring supervisor?

Also got stamp until 4th of November. Is this normal?

So there is still grilling involved even with DTV.

Hey, can you guys share your experience of entering on dtv? Just saw in the group there have been instances of unwanted srutinization while entering on the dtv? Someone said they were asked to show all the docs, they used while applying. This would be very inconvenient given some of us applied physically and don't have all the docs handy.

Hello! My Muay Thai school has said they are hearing reports of people on an education visa extension not being able to return to Thailand even after obtaining a re-entry permit.

I am looking to leave for a weekend (I wouldn’t miss any classes) and would obtain a reentry permit. Would be my first time doing it on this visa. Is there any issue?

Australian citizen, just used my DTV for my second entry into Thailand.

Both times I've been interrogated about my accomodation in Thailand, and this time the immigration officer seemed quite hostile and asked me for exit date, if I have a Thai wife, if I live in Cambodia (that's the consulate I asked for my DTV), what was I doing in Cambodia, and if I'm working in Thailand.

Could I be doing something wrong to attract all this attention? I don't mind a few questions, but I thought I'd got a valid visa in accordance with Thai immigration rules.

So far it has caused more scrutiny than just using a visa waiver.

Hi All - Has anyone with an ED visa for Thai language ever had problems re-entering Thailand? Or have any recommendations?

I have a 1-year ED visa that began in April. Next month I intend to travel outside of Thailand for 3 weeks. This is my first time traveling outside of Thailand with ED visa. (Will have re-entry permit + letter from language school)

Have heard different stories about Immigration sometimes not allowing some on language ED visa to return. Thanks!

If I use a second passport (dual nationality, not a blank passport) that has no history of any entries to Thailand – will immigration be able to link this to my main passport?

My main passport has a lot of SETVs and VEs – if I was to switch the passport I enter with every 8-12 months, would that effectively look like I’ve been outside of Thailand for that period?

Or will the all seeing eyes of immigration know what I’m up to?
