TLDR : Answer Summary
There are companies near the bus station in Hat Yai that offer border bounce services. These services are useful for those looking to avoid spending the required 3 nights in Malaysia, especially for visa purposes. However, it is advisable to check the latest regulations and situations concerning border crossing, particularly related to traveling to Satun.

If you're going that far you might as well make a trip out of it and spend a couple of nights in Malaysia. Anyway, isn't the rule supposed to be you spend 1 night away? Why is it 3 nights?

no, but you can easily avoid it if you offer 1300b at the wang kelian border. Can be higher at padang besar but with 1500 or 2000 should give you a smooth experience
