Currently stamped in on my first ED visa until 15 April. I need to stay until Thailand until 17 April. On 17th April I will fly home.

I will no longer need the ED visa as I am about to get married and apply for a non-IO visa (thai wife) in my home country.

I have no plans to get another ED visa in the future.

1) Do I need to cancel my ED visa? If so, best I do this within the last week of my stamped in date? I believe I read you need to cancel it, and when you do so, you will have 7 days of to leave Thailand?

2) Alternatively if I don't have to cancel it, can I request an extension of stay around 13th April, pay, get denied and that way be able to stay in Thailand until 17 April?
