I successfully received my (first) non-O extension based on retirement from The Mae Sai immigration office. I had one before, but lost it due to being away for 20 months due to Covid, so I began from a tourist visa. This time, the very kind IO asked me to fill-in the names of my mother and father on a paper written completely in Thai that she was filling out. A couple minutes later, she asked how many siblings I had, then confirmed there was a total of three offspring in the family. She also asked what I did before retiring and how many years I had worked. Not a big deal, but is this form and associated questions a regular part of the process now? Just curious of other folks’ experiences.
