So I have a weird situation with my old job. They were supposed to cancel my work permit/visa on January 31. So I went to Laos and back to get a tourist visa. When I got back home I noticed I only have a "non re" valid until August 16. So I'm guessing I have to cancel my visa and then leave the country again? What steps am I supposed to take? I used to have a re entry for 2025 I think but did not do that this time. The HR and visa agent is telling me to go to BOI cancel work permit and visa and then leave Thailand by February 8.

We are British nationals who've spent the last few months in Thailand with visa on arrival plus Covid extensions. Now, we are heading to KL to get tourist visas. If there is a problem with getting them there, might we be able to get them in Penang?
